Museo Novecento is pleased to present an exhibition dedicated to Victor Man, curated by Sergio Risaliti and presented in the ground-floor galleries of the Ex Leopoldine, on Piazza Santa Maria Novella.
Featuring approximately 25 paintings, the exhibition explores recurring themes in the artist’s practice, including maternity, portraiture and self-portraiture, still life, and the female figure.
Highlights include Lelkek temetoje, der Friedhof der Seelen (2019), Girl with Goya’s Skull (2021), Maternity with Legend(2024), Maternity (2025), Curve delle Anime (2025), Reclining Maiden – Prelude of Equinox (2025–2026), and Transfiguration, Cassa Oscura (2025–2026), alongside the artist’s most recent works. The exhibition will also feature five paintings from the Luminary Petals on a Wet Black Bough series, including Untitled (After Michelangelo) (2023).
The exhibition is promoted by the Municipality of Florence and realized with the support of Galerie Max Hetzler and David Zwirner Gallery.
